Foundr is an independently published global media and education company based in South Yarra. We completed a full strip out and re-fit of their office and optimised it to reflect their creative and innovative business.
Foundr’s office fitout consisted of many different elements including a boardroom, filming studio, meeting rooms, workstation area, breakout area, kitchen, banquette seating upholstery, bathroom with showers, reception area and phone booths. We implemented ply joinery and wall panelling to different areas of the fitout.
We achieved a massive improvement to the reception area by creating an awesome reception desk that reflected the business’ innovative and forward-thinking nature. Originally the reception desk was tiny which didn’t suit the big space it was situated in; it didn’t have any striking elements to it which is something we wanted to do to elevate it. When designing and creating it we ensured that it demanded attention and stood out.
We tied the design into every aspect of the fitout by designing the desk to be a like a white glowing box that was made from transparent Corian which had LED running behind the panels to give it a back lit effect. It created a shadow line at the base of it which helped achieve a floating reception desk look.
We used neon signage to compliment the neon lit hi-mac reception desk, accompanied by timber panels and marmoleum flooring. We achieved a great space where they can feel at home and feel comfortable working. As an end of trip facility that attributed to the at home feel for employee’s, we added showers with a crisp black fitting.
