Partnering With Primaplas
Primaplas is a leading provider of polymer resins and packaging films across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore. From supply to distribution, Primaplas keeps the plastics ecosystem moving with their industry knowledge and global network.
Having recently completed a fitout for their Sydney headquarters, they sought out a partner in Victoria to complete their Melbourne office fitout.
An International Office With a Melbourne Vibe
With locations across Australia, New Zealand, and Singapore along with global business partnerships, Primaplas attracts a range of diverse talent and clients. There was an emphasis on creating a space that not only felt familiar to their team but also very Melbourne. Given our depth of experience within the local fitout industry, we were the perfect fit for this project.
There were certain elements that worked really well in their recent Sydney fitout. We sought to incorporate these moments of familiarity into the Melbourne project, taking into consideration the differences in size and layout of both offices. As the office was part of a larger building, we also needed to meld the design into these overarching features. Layered on top of these functional elements is an aesthetic that feels very local.
Creating a Modern Space
Walk into Primaplas Melbourne and you’ll feel that you’re in a space built for productivity and focus.
To create a sense of separate spaces within the tenancy we installed ceiling-hung acoustic dividing screens throughout. In the kitchen, we ditched the carpet motif and opted for warm, easy-to-clean timber flooring. Vibrant blue splashbacks are a small nod to the Primaplas brand.
For meeting rooms and some offices, we built modern New York-style partitions. These glass partitions are effective at keeping noise levels low between different workspaces, while also allowing natural light to fill the entire office. In addition to this, we also installed an open-plan collaborative table. This multi-use functional table could serve as space for larger meetings or staff gatherings.
Feature walls along with entrance signage were cost-effective ways for us to bring in branded moments of colour. Office visitors instantly recognise the office as a separate entity from the larger building.
